Wunderhaus is a product ideally suited for developers, offering a range of luxurious houses boasting international awards for their design and architecture, as well as for their energy and environmental performance. It’s Component System Construction ensures certainty of cost and construction time.

The houses in this rural development have practically no running costs and can generate an income from the grid feedback tarif by producing twice as much energy then they consume.

This example of a mixed housing development consists of 15 Wunderhauses and 12 Wunderhaus A (affordable) housing units.

All houses and apartments featured in this scheme will achieve an EPC rating in excess of A120 for Energy and over A105 for Environmental!

The development will produce on average per year 493350 k/Wh of energy (23000k/Wh WH1 and 12362 k/Wh WHA each) consuming 253500 k/Wh (10500k/Wh WH1 and 8000 k/Wh WHA each) giving the development an excess of 239850 k/Wh of energy per annum.

The scheme will save the planet 95404 kg/CO2 each year, the same as 4770 mature trees (a mature tree stores 20 kg/CO2 per annum and 493350 k/Wh x 0.19338 (UK grid factor 2022) = 95384 kg/CO2.

The Wunderhaus derivative “A” (affordable) benefits from all the knowledge and findings of the 6-year journey creating the Wunderhaus product, utilising the same layout matrix. The result is a range of housing modulars ranging from 64 sq m 2-bedroom appartments to 128 sq m 3 & 4 bedroom semi-detached or terraced houses. Each Wunderhaus A generates, on average 13000 k/Wh per annum whilst consuming only 8500 k/Wh, leaving 4500k/Wh to be exported to the national grid. This means each Wunderhaus A saves the planet 2514 Kg of CO2 per year – the same as 126 mature trees.

Wunderhaus A includes a very high design, material and product quality, but represents a very different approach for housing associations – it provides the tenants with a desirable property that generates money whilst having virtually no running or maintenance costs.
